Guess who can walk?!?!

Well, the past few days, we've been hanging out at "The Ranch" (aka my Mom's second house). While there Julia was having fun using her little walking push toy roaming the house following me or her sisters. Quite cute. When all of a sudden.....guess who took a step without support.....

DALE!! Ok, I know that was mean. I called my mom and told her and she was mad at me for a minute, but got over it. Dale had surgery on his foot at the end of August and couldn't bear any weight at all on his foot. He visited the doctor last week and got the ok to begin walking with the assistance of crutches and only do what he could tolerate. The goal was to be without crutches by his next visit (Oct 8th). Well, he just gave it a try and took a few steps without his crutches. Of course, he still has to use his boot, but it's progress nonetheless. Yay, Dale! By the way, Julia will be walking anytime. Guess who took a step yesterday? Julia really did. She was standing holding Dale's hands, let go, took a step, and then sat down. She didn't fall down, she just slowly sat down. It was too cute!

Julia on the Pot

So, I know it sounds unbelievable. A six month old able to go on the potty, but she's actually been doing since she was about 4 1/2 months old. Obviously she can't walk there herself, but she knows how to hold it for the potty and to go once she's sitting on it.

Yes, I'm sure Julia will hate me when she's older for posting these pictures, but isn't she just so cute sitting on her little pot. That's our big girl.

Julia is sitting on her own!

She finally started sitting up at 5 months. Good Job, Julia! Here she is in her cute little dress from Nana and Grandpa Wiser. It gets even more adorable with the matching hat, but she was tired of it at this point. Don't know when she'll try to crawl. Julia seems much more interested in standing and trying to walk than being on her tummy trying to crawl. She can now hold on to the couch and stand and giggle. She will also walk while she holds your fingers. By no means can she support her weight to stand on her own yet, but she wants to for sure. She's been a very early achiever when in comparison to my other girls, but that is what's fun about each child, it's always a surprise. I do wish her teeth would surprise me and just appear so she wouldn't be in so much discomfort right now. Do you remember when your kids were teething? Tell me about it, help me feel like I'm not going crazy, please! I am at points wanting to rip off my ears and throw them out the window so I don't have to hear the screaming, but obviously, there would be a bigger mess to clean up if I did that, so that's out of the question. Leave comments and make my life feel normal, please!
